Statewide Qualifying will occur at the Georgia State Capitol in the House Chamber from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, May 23rd, 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM on Thursday, May 24th, and 8:00 AM until Noon on Friday, May 25th. Qualifying fees (to be paid by Cashier’s Check or Money Order) and additional requirements may be found at: http://www.gagop.org/2012-qualifying/#useful.

County/Municipal Party Qualifying should take place during approximately the same times from a local office. Candidates should contact their local Superintendent of Elections (often the Probate Judge in smaller counties) if unsure about how to reach their local Republican Party.

THE DEKALB GOP OFFICE WILL BE OPEN FOR CANDIDATES WISHING TO QUALIFY TO RUN:

Wednesday (5-23-12) and Thursday (5-24-12) from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday (5-25-12) from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. You may qualify for the following offices on the Republican ballot on 7-31-12 are Chief Executive Officer (fee  required to sign up is $3502.49), Board of Commissioners (Districts 1, 4, 5, and 6) ($1151.24), Chief Magistrate ($3282.78), Clerk of Superior Court ($3282.78), Sheriff ($3421.21), Tax Commissioner ($3282.78), and Solicitor ($3502.49). Cash or check accepted.
