                  beginning 9:00 AM

The parade route is ~2 miles and steps off from the intersection of Mount Vernon Road and Jett Ferry Road at 9:00 a.m., proceeds west on Mt. Vernon to Dunwoody Village, turns right onto Dunwoody Village Parkway and left into Dunwoody Village (Jiffy Lube) across from Village Burger. Volunteers will guide parade participants to parade parking (Walgreens side). The Festival Area will be to the left of the Dunwoody Village entrance. It takes approximately 1 hour to walk the entire parade route.

The DeKalb Republican Party is again participating in this annual event and we are looking for at least 4 people to walk in the parade to hand out U.S. Constitutions and Declaration of Independence as well as candy for the kids.

We will have at least two vehicles in the parade.  If you are willing to walk the route and hand out items please contact Lane Flynn at

If you just want to watch the parade, that is great too!  The Dunwoody Parade is one of the largest in the area and always a lot of fun.  Celebrate with your friends, family and enjoy the morning with lots of other patriots!

Parade spectators are encouraged to setup chairs along Mt. Vernon and Dunwoody Village Parkway up to the shops on the right and the parade entrance into Dunwoody Village. Spectators will be blocked from viewing on the east side of Jett Ferry on Mt. Vernon due to the staging and setup for parade participants. Viewing will start on the west side of Jett Ferry on Mt. Vernon.

Pints and Politics

The ‘Pints & Politics” series from the DeKalb GOP returns in June, fresh off the energizing speech from Donald Trump announcing his 2020 campaign. The 6th Congressional District is a priority for national Republicans and we’re proud to bring Karen Handel to Brookhaven as she seeks to take back the 6th from the Democratic representative with dubious Tennessee residence ties. The event is free to attend and open to all ages, please make sure to handsomely tip the wait staff.

Join us on June 26th beginning at 6:00-8:00 PM at THERE,

Topic: Georgia is a Human and Sex Trafficking Hub – What Happens to Those Caught in this Inhumane Trap?

It has been estimated that 3,600 minors are sold into sex slavery every year in the state of Georgia which would fill 72 school buses with children.* And the FBI believes that the $290 million sex trafficking industry in Georgia is growing because it is profitable.
“In this city, Atlanta has become a hub for human trafficking. Innocent children are simply being sold for sex. Evil people committing evil deeds all to turn a profit,” said Governor Brian Kemp following Super Bowl 53 after the the FBI arrested 169 people over 11 days which included 23 traffickers and 34 people attempting to engage in sex acts with minors.

While Georgia law enforcement continues to chip away at this heinous industry by arresting these sexual predators in sting operations, what happens to the victims in the aftermath and recovery is often forgotten or unknown.
Come hear first hand how these young sex trafficking survivors are getting the assistance, treatment and training to lead a productive and fulfilling life.

About Wellspring Living:Wellspring Living has multiple programs that serve a range of ages: a court-ordered program for teenage girls 12 to 17 years old that helps with life skills and education, as well as trauma therapy and rehabilitation; the other voluntary program for women ages 18 to 32, called the Women’s Academy, offers a GED program and a career track for survivors who have an education but need additional supports.
